Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how International Design LLC ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Glimpse mobile application ("the App").

1. Information We Collect

Camera and Microphone Data: Glimpse accesses your device camera and microphone to provide real-time AI vision and voice assistant functionality. Video frames and audio are streamed directly to third-party AI services (Google Gemini) for processing and are not stored on our servers.

Local Memory Data: When you ask Glimpse to "remember" something, that information is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.

Photos and Videos From Smart Glasses: If you use Glimpse with compatible smart glasses, you can import photos, videos, and audio notes that the glasses recorded. The transfer happens directly between your glasses and your phone over a local Wi-Fi connection that the glasses create. These files never pass through our servers and we never receive them. Imported photos and videos are saved into your own iOS photo library. Glimpse keeps only a small thumbnail and the file name on your device so it can show you a list of what was imported, and you can delete that list at any time inside the app. By default the copy on the glasses is deleted once the file is safely stored on your phone, which you can turn off in the app.

Photo Library Access: Glimpse requests permission to add photos and videos to your library. It does not request permission to read or browse your library, and it cannot see the photos that are already there.

Face Memory: If you ask Glimpse to remember a person, it stores a cropped image of that person's face together with the name you gave, on your device only. This data is never uploaded, never synced to an account, and never shared with third parties. Deleting it in the app removes it from the device.

Location Data: If you grant permission, Glimpse uses your location to answer questions about where you are and to give you spoken directions. Location is used at the moment you ask and is not stored by us.

People Other Than You: Cameras on a phone or on glasses can capture people nearby. Glimpse does not identify anyone except the people you explicitly ask it to remember, and that data stays on your device. You are responsible for following the laws and expectations that apply where you are recording.

Calendar Data: If you grant permission, Glimpse reads your calendar events to provide schedule information by voice. Calendar data is processed on-device and is not transmitted externally except as part of AI processing context.

Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your name and email address through Apple Sign In. We use Firebase Authentication and Firestore for account management.

Subscription Data: Purchase and subscription information is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store payment details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide real-time AI vision and voice assistant features
• To store your memories and preferences locally on your device
• To manage your account and subscription
• To detect emergency situations and facilitate emergency calls
• To improve and maintain the App

3. Third-Party Services

Glimpse uses the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini API: For AI vision and voice processing. Audio and video data is sent to Google's servers for real-time processing. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic Claude API: For advanced task execution. Text-based requests may be sent to Anthropic's servers. Please refer to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Firebase (Google): For authentication and user data storage. Please refer to Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Apple: For Sign In with Apple and in-app subscription processing.

4. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

• Memory data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers
• Face memory is stored on your device only and is never uploaded
• Media imported from smart glasses goes directly to your device and your own photo library, never to our servers
• Audio and video streams are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored by us
• Account data is stored securely using Firebase with encryption in transit and at rest
• All network communications use TLS/SSL encryption
• API keys are stored securely and are not exposed in client-side code

5. Data Retention

Local memory data persists on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Face memory persists on your device until you delete it in Settings or uninstall the App. Media imported from smart glasses is saved to your photo library and stays there under your control, and the record Glimpse keeps of those imports lives on your device until you clear it or uninstall the App. Audio notes and any files your photo library cannot hold remain inside the App and are removed when you delete them or uninstall. Account data is retained as long as you maintain an active account. You may request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us.

6. Children's Privacy

Glimpse is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data
• Revoke camera, microphone, calendar, location, or photo library permissions at any time through iOS Settings
• See everything Glimpse has imported from your glasses, and delete it from the App
• Delete remembered people, and the face images stored with them, from within the App
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of data collection by discontinuing use of the App

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and Japan, where our third-party service providers operate. By using Glimpse, you consent to these transfers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
